Arthur's on board
Chadwicks, innovators in shrink sleeves, has teamed up with packaging consultant, Arthur Riley to take its shrink sleeves division to the next level.
Arthur will be an integrated member of the Chadwicks team and will share valuable industry expertise to benefit both new and existing customers at Chadwicks.
Having served the flexible packaging industry for more than 35 years, Arthur has gained a lifetime of experience advising customers on their packaging needs and increasing their understanding of the packaging sector.
Arthur is a Fellow of the Institute of Packaging, which forms part of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), and has written a market report entitled ‘The Future of Shrink Sleeves’ for PIRA (Packaging and Paper Industry Research Association). Aware of Chadwicks’ market position as the leading pre-cut lids manufacturer, Arthur was keen to assist Chadwicks in its new shrink sleeves division.
Arthur commented: “I have carried out some extensive research into shrink sleeves and already have contacts with Chadwicks, so I thought that with our combined knowledge and experience we could form an even stronger relationship that would be mutually beneficial.
“I have always been aware of Chadwicks’ international status and reputation as the world’s leading heat seal, pre-cut lid manufacturer. Chadwicks has a great work ethos and I’m very happy to be associated with a company that has such great values. I’m sure that the new arm of the business will be a great success.”

After starting his career with Sonoco in 1973, Arthur has developed an extensive knowledge of packaging, having worked with some of the most well-known brands in the UK including Kelloggs, Muller, British Petroleum (BP) and Quaker Oats. Arthur now runs his own established business as a packaging consultant and is the course co-ordinator and chief lecturer for IOM3’s onsite regional diploma in packaging.
