Chadwicks has begun work to improve the impact it has on the environment by reaching a world-recognised performance level.
The firm is looking to achieve the ISO 14000 environmental management system standard which sets benchmarks for companies looking to improve its green performance.
The standards are aimed at identifying and controlling the environmental impact of activities, products or services as well as creating a systematic approach to continually reaching targets and improving performance.
Deborah Brookes, who is in charge of the ISO accreditation process, said: “Reaching these standards will be of real benefit for us both internally and externally. It will keep our production processes focused on environmental targets and give our clients the reassurance that keeping green forms a key part of our approach.”
